While Bay is hard at work on a fourth Transformers movie let's take a look back at the most successful film in the Transformers movie franchise. Dark of the Moon grossed US $1.12 billion worldwide, and is the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time, it's the second-highest-grossing film of that year, is the highest-grossing film in the Transformers series, and the tenth film to gross over $1 billion. Besides making oodles of cash, it was nominated for three Oscars (Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects).
The opening scene of Transformers: Dark of the Moon had mind-blowing scenes of the Transformers' home planet of Cybertron.
Dylan Cole is a professional concept artist and matte painter, who's worked on Hollywood movies like Superman Returns (2006), I, Robot (2004) and 2012 (2009), and shared a couple of gorgeous pieces from the film on his Facebook page.

Cole said on his Facebook page, "Here is a painting from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. I had a lot of fun designing the Cybertron sequence in the beginning. I built the basic environment in Cinema 4D and put it all together in Photoshop."
