Stunning Canceled BIOSHOCK Movie Concept Art by Kasra Farahani and Jim Martin

Bioshock concept art by Kasra Farahani

Check out Bioshock concept art by Kasra Farahani and Jim Martin!

A film based on the hit game Bioshock was proposed in 2008. It went through directors like Gore Verbinski and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo before the project was dropped because of the proposed R rating and soaring budget. Two artists who worked on the film have released concept art that show what it could have looked like.

Kasra Farahani is a professional concept artist who's worked on big budget films like Avatar (2008), Alice in Wonderland (2010) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008). Jim Martin is a professional illustrator who's worked on Hollywood films like Superman Flyby, Spider-Man (2002) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).

What do you think of the concept art? Would the Bioshock movie have been any good?

Official Bioshock Game Summary
BioShock lets you do the impossible as you explore a mysterious underwater city. When your plane crashes, you discover Rapture - an underwater Utopia torn apart by civil war. Caught between powerful forces and hunted down by genetically modified "splicers" and deadly security systems, you have to come to grips with a deadly, mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters. As little girls loot the dead, and biologically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn. Now you're trapped, caught in the middle of a genetic war that will challenge both your capacity to survive and your moral allegiance to your own humanity. Make meaningful and mature decisions that culminate in the grand question - do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture to save yourself - or risk all to become their savior?
Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Gore Verbinski)

Battle Marines In Dazzling 'Avatar' Concept Art

K is for Kasra Farahani
The best scenes in Avatar (2008) are the scenic and lush views of Pandora, but there's no denying the battles between the evil marines and the native Na'vi were thrilling.

Thanks to this concept art you can get some dazzling views of the scenes where Jake and other Na'vi lays the smackdown on the Marine AMP suits.

Official Synopsis
In a distant future, humanity discovers the planet 'Alpha Centauri B-4', and for those scientists and astronauts who've traversed the gulf between neighboring suns and arrived on its alien soil know it as 'Pandora'. A world filled with an incredible diversity of beautiful and deadly ammonia-breathing lifeforms. Its also a world that harbors treasures and resources almost beyond price. But just as the original Pandora's Box wrought devastation on those who would use it for their own gain, so too this world may destroy not just the Pandorans home, but ours as well.
Avatar is the story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.

Kasra Farahani, who also worked on films like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Spider-Man 3 (2007) has a few samples on his site of "scene 234." This is near the end of the film so, SPOILER ALERT!!
